Wayne D. Sargent

I grew up in Manchester, N.H. In 1967 at the age of 12 while watching the Green Bay Packers on TV I admired Bart Starr and immediately became a fan of the Green Bay Packers.

The short of it is in my adult life some 20 years ago I was offered and accepted a job offer in Wisconsin and shortly thereafter moved my family here. Two years later through a lottery, I got to purchase the “Gold Package” as a Season Ticket Holder and my dream became a reality. Seven years ago my number came up and I was offered Club Seats for the “Green Package”, my dream was totally fulfilled as I now have tickets to all home games.

After many years of collecting Packer Memorabilia my yellow home with green trim and shutters is referred to as a Packer Shrine. Last year Fox News filmed a documentary that went national of my “Shrine” as The Ultimate Packer Collection.

My passion for the Packers has won “The Ultimate Packer Fan” contest, a contest that is put on by the Packer Partners Club of Champions, the official fan club of the Green Bay Packers. Upon winning that contest I was dubbed by my peers as “The Ultimate Packer Fan”

December 2011 I was 1/5 winners in a national contest sponsored by Guinness Beer called “The Boldest Fan of The Game”. To enter the contest each contestant had to answer 5 essay questions with a minimum of 400 words each. The questions pertained to one’s dedication to their team and the sport of football. The contest was judged by the same judges that choose the entrants each year to be placed in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

My prize for winning included a round trip for two to Indianapolis for the Superbowl and a bronze bust statue of myself of which I have one and the other is placed in the Guinness wing inside the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Currently, I am the creator and webmaster of www.theultimatepackerfan.com and www.theultimatepackerfanconnection.com. On Facebook, I have created and monitored “The Ultimate Packer Fan” Group and “The Ultimate Packer Fan Connection” pages. I am the Founder of an annual event called “The Ultimate Packer Fan Connection”. An event that replicates the Packer Fan Fest to raise money for charities. in 2013 I was voted into the top 25 semi-finalists for the ESPN Fan Hall of Fame Contest.

I have a sincere passion for helping people, especially children. My website is only the foundation of information and for my support of the Fans. On Gameday, I am available to welcome the Fans to Lambeau Field. I also extend myself throughout the entire year volunteering at various events both public and private. I am always available to help those in need, in need of support or information about current Packer and Sports-related events and alike. I don’t just reach out to the less fortunate but those of walks of life. For example just last year I reserved an entire section at The Timber Rattlers Stadium for those who wanted to join us at the Donald Driver Softball Game. Prior to the game, I hosted a free tailgate for the Public in the parking lot to meet and greet many of whom I had never met before. I just wanted to let those experience a real tailgate party, in a real game-day atmosphere. People that contact me through social media, my website, or that I have met in the past. Just watching all the Fans gathering and meeting for the first time tailgating, sharing stories was thanks enough. My efforts go far beyond Game Day. In my hometown, I work concessions at every home football game cooking up over a thousand burgers, brats, and hot dogs each Game Day as a volunteer. As a Chamber of Commerce Board Member, I have hosted public events, parades, concerts, and like all-volunteer work. I assist in repairs for the Village and the elderly. I sit on the Kiwanis Governor’s Board to help raise 1.5 million for Children’s Autism, another volunteer position.

My life as I became a Super Fan of the Green Bay Packers has not only made me a better person and family man but has given me a much better outlook and attitude towards life in general.

Charitable Activities: Last year I founded “The Ultimate Packer Fan Connection”.This annual event is hosted by a different Packer Player with proceeds going to their charity of choice. The event features live bands, vendors, auctions with Packer Players meeting, and greeting fans for photos and autographs throughout the day. This year’s event will be hosted by William Henderson on behalf of The Kiwanis Children’s Autism Foundation.

I am the Secretary for the Kewaskum, WI. Kiwanis Organization, I hold a chair on the Board of Directors for the Kewaskum Chamber of Commerce and am an active member of the Kewaskum High School Booster Club. I am a member of Kewaskum Cares About Kids, an organization focused on drug and alcohol abuse in today’s youth.
